Neem Oil is deeply nourishing for the skin & hair & is reported to assist at keeping bugs at bay. It has anti-inflammatory, antifungal & antimicrobial properties, is rich in essential fatty acids & it conditions & strengthens the hair & promotes growth.
Calendula infused sunflower oil is known to help soothe itchy & inflamed skin. It is an antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, has antibacterial properties & is high in vitamin C.
Coconut Oil hydrates & soothes the skin, helps retain moisture in hair follicles, conditions, detangles & promotes healthy hair growth.
Almond Oil is high in vitamins A, B & E & has anti-inflammatory properties. It is moisturising & may help stimulate hair growth.
Lemongrass Essential Oil has natural astringent & antibacterial properties & can naturally fight bacteria & fungi. Lemongrass Oil shares many characteristics with Citronella Essential Oil and because of this, it can be an effective insect repellent.
Rosemary Essential Oil is reported to act as an effective insect repellent for mosquitoes and other insects due to its strong aroma that mask the odours that attract insects. Rosemary oil is also reported to help stimulate hair growth.
Cedarwood Essential Oil is known to treat dandruff, hair loss, hair growth and hair strengthening. It has anti-fungal, antiseptic, and astringent properties & is reported to assist with deterring insects.
Lavender Essential Oil has naturally occurring antioxidant, antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. It is reported to help to repel insects, as well as sooth insect bites.
Vitamin E Natural (mixed Tocopherols 70%) a full-spectrum antioxidant derived from non-GMO soybean oil, contains 70% tocopherols which are natural antioxidants that help to maintain healthy cells. It plays a crucial role in protecting oils, butters, & fats from oxidation, prolonging the shelf life.
*Stearic Acid is a long-chain saturated fatty acid primarily derived from vegetable sources. It is used to thicken & stabilise formulations. Stearic acid forms a protective barrier on the skin, locking in moisture and improving hydration levels. It also enhances manageability and smoothness, helping to reduce breakage and improve hair shine.
*Cetearyl alcohol is a vegetable derived product. It is a fatty alcohol blend & is a multifunctional ingredient that improves the feel, performance & stability of products. For skincare products, it makes luxurious, rich formulas & in haircare it helps products to glide through hair.
* BTMS- 50 is a conditioning ingredient, it is mild & gentle on skin. BTMS-50 bonds to the hair, smooths down cuticles leaving hair detangled, frizz free & silky. While BTMS-50 is derived from natural oils it is not considered 100% natural because of the processing it undergoes.
*Isoamyl Laurate is a naturally derived weight ester that is great for hair care, acts as a detangler, adds shine & conditions strands of hair without build up.

To assist with insects or as a spot treatment for dry skin or rubs - Work a small amount of the balm between your fingertips to warm it up, then gently massage where required into the coat & skin until absorbed.
To use as a leave in conditioner - Work a small amount between your fingertips to warm it up & distribute it through the tail, mane & forelock. The balm can be used on wet hair or dry hair.
Top tip - you can also add a little water after warming the balm in your fingertips or palms to make a light lotion.
CAUTION
Use only as directed avoid contact with the eyes.
PATCH TEST - It is always a good idea to patch test before using a new product on your horse & discontinue use if a sensitivity is found.
Store out of direct sunlight & below 25 °C. I personally store my Daily Care Plus Balm in the fridge.
