Hoof Care Balm is an all-natural handmade balm made with a combination of cold pressed oils, shea butter, beeswax, carnauba wax, tea tree essential oil and lemongrass essential oil. These ingredients work together to condition, protect and hydrate hooves.

Our Hoof Care Balm features a smooth, soft texture that can be applied with a brush or even your hands. The texture of the balm will change with the temperature but has been formulated to be soft enough to use with a brush even at cooler temperatures.

Hoof Care Balm does not contain any mineral or petroleum oils or animal fats.

  • Extra Virgin Cold Pressed Coconut Oil - Coconut oil is a highly saturated oil making it an excellent moisturiser. It penetrates & absorbs easily into the hoof. Coconut oil is also claimed to have antimicrobial & antibacterial properties.

    Linseed Oil (cold pressed) - Linseed oil is rich in omega-3 fatty acids & is renowned for its ability to lock in moisture & provide a natural shine to the hoof.

    Shea Butter - Shea butter is rich in fatty acids & vitamins A & E. It provides deep hydration to the hoof.

    Tea Tree Essential Oil - Sourced from the Australian native Melaleuca alternifolia tree. This natural oil contains over 100 natural compounds, primarily terpenes, which give it remarkable antibacterial, antifungal & anti-inflammatory benefits. Tea Tree Oil can naturally fight bacteria & fungi.

    Lemongrass Essential Oil - Like Tea Tree Oil Lemongrass has natural astringent & antibacterial properties & can naturally fight bacteria & fungi.

    The combination of these two oils also makes the balm smell amazing.

    Bees Wax - Bees wax is claimed to have antifungal & antimicrobial benefits. It helps to protect the hoof by sealing out moisture.

    Carnauba Wax - Carnauba wax is a 100% natural vegetable wax obtained from the leaves of the Brazilian 'tree of life'. Carnauba wax adds a glossy finish to the balm.

    Vitamin E Natural (mixed Tocopherols 70%) a full-spectrum antioxidant derived from non-GMO soybean oil, contains 70% tocopherols which are natural antioxidants that help to maintain healthy cells. It plays a crucial role in protecting oils, butters, & fats from oxidation, prolonging the shelf life.

    1. Clean the sole & the outer wall of your horses hooves.

    2. Apply the balm using a brush, cloth or your hands to the sole & wall 2-3 times a week (or as often as needed).

    Keep your hoof care balm out of direct sunlight. Store in a cool dry place (best under 25 degrees). If you prefer a firm balm, it is recommended that you keep your balm in the fridge in the summer (getting it out to soften a bit prior to use).

  • Cocos nucifera (coconut oil), Linseed Oil, Beeswax, Shea Butter, Carnauba Wax, 100% Melaleuca Alternifolia (Tea Tree) Leaf Essential Oil, Cymbopogon Flexuosus (Lemongrass) Essential Oil & Vitamin E Oil.

    Essential oils in this product make up no more than 1% of the product as per the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority guidelines.

    This is a cosmetic product & has no therapeutic effect.
